Overview
Deckr is operated by Brobots Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What data we collect
We collect a minimal set of data necessary to operate and improve the service:
- Usage logs — which features were used, generation counts, and timing data. These logs do not contain the contents of your survey files.
- Generation metadata — slide count, chart types selected, audience type, and tone settings. Used for product analytics only.
- Technical data — browser type, approximate location (country level), and error logs to help diagnose issues.
We do not collect names, email addresses, or account details unless you contact us directly.
Survey files and generated output
Your survey files are processed entirely in memory and are never written to disk, stored in a database, or retained after your request completes. The generated PowerPoint is returned directly to your browser and immediately discarded from our servers. We have no access to the contents of your survey data.
We cannot read, copy, or share the data within your uploaded files.
How we use your data
The limited data we collect is used solely for:
- Monitoring service performance and uptime
- Understanding which features are used most, to guide product development
- Diagnosing and fixing errors
- Producing aggregated, anonymised usage statistics
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any automated decision-making that produces legal or significant effects.
Data sharing and third parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third party. We may share anonymised, aggregated statistics (e.g. total decks generated in a given month) that cannot identify any individual or organisation.
We use the following sub-processors to operate the service:
- Anthropic — AI model provider used to generate insight headlines and analysis. Survey content is included in prompts sent to Anthropic's API. Anthropic does not train on API data by default. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Cloud hosting provider — server infrastructure. Files are not persisted beyond the request.
Your rights under UK GDPR
As a data subject you have the right to: be informed, access your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing.
Given that we collect very limited personal data, most of these rights may not apply in practice. To exercise any right, email hello@getdeckr.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
Usage logs and generation metadata are retained for a maximum of 90 days, after which they are permanently deleted. Server error logs are retained for 30 days. We do not retain survey files or generated presentations beyond the duration of the request.
Cookies
Deckr uses a single session cookie to maintain your authenticated session. This cookie contains no personal data beyond a session token and expires after 30 days of inactivity. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics.
